Professor Winston

It rained today and was super dead at work, so my buddy and coworker Bradley and I decided to go to our friend Winston's work (also super dead) and harass him. He works at a wound clinic running the hyperbaric chambers, here's a picture of him explaining what that entails.

Bradley's learning a lot

We got a demonstration of the chamber in action, this is a before and after of an empty water bottle with the cap on. I still dont understand how it works but it's pretty cool.

We are idiots.

Sunday...

Yesterday we went to New Braunfels to Bussey's Flea Market. Usually it's something we both really love, but we werent really feeling it this time. It's a neat place though sometimes people sell weird stuff and it's huge like a city of junk.

This creepy baby was the highlight of the trip.

And this guy.

After the market we drove the sixty miles back to Austin and went to nerd heaven, Half Price Books. This the best bookstore in the world. But again, we werent feeling it. Seriously the first time we went there and didnt buy a thing.

South Padre Island

We went to South Padre Island a few days ago on a road trip, it was very cool... It was nice to be by the water and the salt air was familiar to me and Tina, who are both from Florida. Originally we were going to go to Balmorhea state park but due to rainy forecasts we changed our plans at the last minute. It really worked out well, hotels were cheap since it was off season and there were no spring break type people to be seen.
Our view from the bridge

The bay

Made me think of Pee wee's big adventure

Tina and I fished off the pier at Port Isabel and caught almost 50 speckled trout. We were there for six hours, then some dolphins showed up and scared off all the fish...

Who knew?

On our last night there we pulled into the hotel parking lot and four drunk dudes visiting from mexico were poking this crab with a stick. I guess you had to be there.

Edward Gorey comes to Texas

A few weeks ago there was an Edward Gorey exhibit at the McNay Museum in San Antonio. Tina dragged me along, and I'm glad she did.... Unfortunately photography was not an option in the exhibit, but the museum itself was also beautiful.

The museum is an old spanish style house and there's courtyards and sculpture gardens outside.

Art make me mad...

Yard Work

On my day off last week I hung out on the patio since it was nice out, Tina made me a michelada, and I relaxed.

Here's my jalapeno plant which is finally bearing fruit...

Dorothy wishes she was at the lake.

So does Ladybird....

First a drink, and......
There it is.

This was just in the camera, its soda from a place Tina likes to get bubble tea.

This is a coyote skull I found in fredricksburg

And here is a creepy donkey bike Tina found at the flea market, we're trying to turn it into a planter but everything we put in it keeps dying. Creepy.
