Exploring near Waco

This ranch was a major indian campsite for thousands of years, it was awesome just walking around

I crawled about 20 yards into this cave and chickened out. It was awesome though, the ceiling was 2-3 feet high. Wish I got a better pics

These are some artifacts I dug up at the site
I spent most of the day in this hole swinging a pick

I finally got some frames for my arrowheads so here are my first attempts at laying them out. I found most of this stuff at the same site.

Trip to Yucatan!

Back in September Tina and I went to Playa Del Carmen...
Pyramid at Coba, I heard that Unesco was thinking about making it a world heritage sight so we wanted to check it while we could still climb all over everything.

 dead bat

Most of the site hasn't been excavated yet, from high points we could see the tops of pyramids sticking out of the tree tops.

we went swimming in a cenote and it was amazing, it was about 40 feet underground and there were tree roots coming down from the ceiling.

Shop pics!

Our awesome apprentice Tim and his wife Lisa got us a photo shoot for xmas this year. Lisa is the makeup artist for 666 Photography here in town, they are awesome... we showed up at the studio on a sunday afternoon, had a couple beers and had a great time. The theme was "opium den"

This is Tim, he's back in Australia now straightening out his visa situation, but hopefully he'll be back soon.

On the way to get lunch today Ben got a Tshirt and hat at a souvenir shop and we did a photo shoot of our own, the theme was "sexy cowboy"

Las Vegas

Back in July, when I couldn't access the blog, some of our best friends Jay and Cliona decided to get married in Vegas. This was really great because they live in Ireland and we're lucky to see them once a year. Tina and I drove out and it was a hell ride, the car died a few times and we got several flats in the desert, but all in all it was awesome. Tina's folks also live there, so we got in some family time too. After the festivities we all piled into the car and drove back to Austin.
Welcome back dinner.

bad idea

There were tarantulas at a few rest stops in west Texas
